I chose a Prism as my logo for three reasons. First of all a Prism is multifaceted, just as we are. Secondly, how we narrate and frame our experiences is all about where we’re shining our light and what gets reflected. Finally, my method of therapy is designed to help you shift the angle of your life’s prism so light can reflect in a new and healing way.
Hi, I’m Chris Curran, owner and operator of Lifequesting, LLC.
I’m a licensed clinical social worker with roots in Minnesota. I earned my undergraduate degrees in psychology and French from the College of St. Benedict. From there I went to volunteer for a year in Chicago and then moved to Central America. I learned Spanish in Guatemala and then spent a couple of years in Panama assisting small rural communities in organizing to improve their lives and health.
I have worked as a bilingual case manager with pregnant women and their families who struggled with poverty or who were immigrant and refugee families trying to navigate a complicated medical system. I moved to Northern California where I worked as a bilingual child protection social worker in Mendocino County and then later in Alameda County. I obtained my Master’s degree in social work from San Francisco State University with a focus on child welfare and social development.
I returned to Minnesota so I could be closer to my family and continue to enjoy working with children and families experiencing violence that used a family group conferencing approach to improve the safety and well-being of these families. I obtained my clinical license in Minnesota in 2008 and have been practicing here since that time.
